What should a reportable design with a sidebar look like?

If, when adding a pattern, you noticed in the preview that the side strip duplicates across the width of the fabric rather than the length, this means that you should rotate your pattern.

Find out how to do it here.

Incorrectly arranged pattern:

The blue stripe at the top duplicates along the horizontal measure. This means that on the printout this stripe will duplicate in width. In the screen shot above you can see the first 80 cm (length) of the pattern, let's see how it will look after printing 160 cm of the pattern:

The strip will repeat causing a loss of material.

Where should the sidebar be located on the preview?

It should go along the vertical measure. If it duplicates vertically in the preview, it means that the pattern has the correct printing direction.
